This new issue of Budyong, St. Alphonsus Theological and Mission Institute (SATMI) presents various optics in the field of doing theology. At the heart of this craft of theologizing is the attempt of the authors to ground the faith that seeks an understanding of human experience where tensions, challenges, joys, hopes, and even dailiness form the basis for thoughtful and discursive reflection.

The 8th Abdon Ma. Josol Theological Series with the theme Enriching Filipino Theology for the 21st Century: Celebrating the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines. It seeks to break new grounds in the movement to free us from the clutches of a clerically centered way of doing and thinking about faith that seeks understanding. The main speakers of this 8th Abdon Ma. Josol Lecture Series was Dr. Jose de Mesa with the theme of Listening Appreciatively to the Voice of Culture: Transcending Linguistic Dominations in Theology and Dr. Estela Padilla with the theme of Bahay at Kalsada.
