St. Alphonsus Theological and Mission Institute joins the collective efforts of religious men and women, NGOs, Catholic school instrumentalities, and men and women of goodwill in disaster response to the people affected by the recent earthquakes that destroyed lives and properties of many people in the Cotabato.
Some of our students in the fourth and fifth year joined psycho-social first aid and distribution of relief goods to 565 families to an evacuation area in New Israel in Makilala, Cotabato. This missionary engagement called as Misyon: Duyog-ambit Padulong sa Paglaum (Mission as Pilgrimage toward a Shared Hope) marks the standing commitment of SATMI to be an Institute in service to the needs of the Church in Mindanao.
Our participation in the pilgrimage-mission in New Israel, Makilala, Cotabato expresses our fidelity to this mission.
