St. Alphonsus Theological and Mission Institute, to hold regular theological fora on special themes relevant for us as faculty, students, staff and supporters. In this light, I wish to welcome you all to this theological hour to reflect on the recent document from the Congregation for Catholic Education entitled “Male and Female He Created Them: Towards a Path of Dialogue on the Question of Gender Theory in Education.”
This practice basically aims at keeping ourselves abreast not only with recent developments in the Church regarding its perception of the world and humanity and the issues confronting it but also with the sentiments and insights of peoples and contemporary thinkers who with the Church seek to understand the ongoing evolution in our understanding of our faith.
